Matthew Brent

Matthew Brent, Trade Commissioner Beijing (Designate) at the Australian Trade Commission, will attend Australasia China Cities Summit & Business Forum (ACCS/ACBF) – China as Guest Nation at Royal Melbourne Show as a keynote speaker.

Matthew Brent is Trade Commissioner Beijing (Designate) at the Australian Trade Commission. With previous experience as the international business development manager at a mining equipment supplier, and as an export advisor for the Australian Industry Group, Matthew has had exposure to international trade at both the business and industry level. In other roles, Matthew has worked in China and Russia, and was a director of a China focused consultancy business.

Prior to taking up his post in Beijing, Matthew is part of the East Asia Growth Markets team at Austrade’s head office in Sydney, which supports Austrade posts in Greater China and ASEAN.

Matthew speaks Mandarin, has a Bachelor of Arts (International Relations), a Bachelor of Commerce (International Business) and is completing a Masters of Professional Accounting.
