Hainan Provincial Delegation Attended Exhibition in New Zealand & Agriculture Forum in Australia

Organized by Australia International Trade Association (AITA), Hainan agricultural delegation led by the Department of Commerce of Hainan province and Hainan Provincial Agricultural Department, successfully finished its exhibition in New Zealand and the agriculture forum in Australia.
New Zealand - National Agricultural Fieldays
Facilitated by AITA, Hainan delegation participated in the 2017 New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, an annual farming and agricultural trade show, the largest in New Zealand and the Southern Hemisphere based at Mystery Creek in Hamilton, Waikato. The Fieldays attracts over 133,588 visitors in 2017.
Meeting with CEO, General Manager and International Business Executive of the Fieldays
Peter Nation, CEO of Fieldays, Nick Dromgool, the general manager and Jim Grennell, the international business executive received Hainan delegation and Michael Guo, CEO of AITA received the delegation on the first day.
Opening Ceremony
After the meeting with the senior managers of National Fieldays Society, Hainan delegation joined the opening ceremony of Fieldays on June 14 2017, when Acting Prime Minister Paula Bennett formally opened the Fieldays and Ministers Coleman and Guy opened the Rural Mental Health Hub and announced $500,000 in more funding for 20 rural health workshops.A wide range of Ministers and MPs attended the Fieldays including Acting Prime Minister Paula Bennett and Ministers Steven Joyce, Simon Bridges, Jonathan Coleman, Paul Goldsmith, Louise Upston, and David Bennett.
 China--Hainan Pavillion Exhibition
This year, Australia International Trade Association set up a China--Hainan Pavillion Exhibition at Fieldays, with around 40 participants from 19 companies in the field of Animal and Husbandry, advanced technology in production and processing, fresh-keeping techniques of storage and transport, biotechnology, planting techniques, breeding techniques and embryo techniques, green agriculture and agriculture development, as well as key wholesale & retail enterprise, market and supermarket, such as Hainan Provincial Green Agricultural Products Exporting Association (GAPEA), Hainan Xin Yu Technology Investment Co.,Ltd, Hainan Hongyuan Bio-Technology Co, Hainan Brisight Science Technology Co,Ltd and Nanguo Foodstuff Co, Ltd.
These companies displayed their agricultural techniques and products to Fieldays visitors. In addiction, they exchanged views on production and processing, and discovered cooperation opportunities with relevant businesses and association during the show.
Kiwifruit Farm Visiting - Punchbowl  Group
After the Fieldays, the delegation visited Punchbowl Packaging in Pukekohe, one of the three companies owned by Punchbowl, to learn about its exceptional service and quality packaging materials to the horticultural and agricultural sectors. The delegation was received by the manager Simon Craig who is also the receiving person during the visit of Chongqing delegation from China in July 2013 with Colin Davies organized by AITA.
Australia - Victoria Parliament House
Agriculture Forum and Luncheon -- Hainan provincial delegation as guest of honor at Victoria Parliament House was successfully held on 19th June 2017.
Over 70 people attended the Agriculture Forum & Luncheon  
At the forum, Hainan delegation (40 people consisting of governments officials and entrepreneurs) met with 33 Australian representatives from Austrade, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, Victoria Farmers Federation, Invest Victoria, Australian Institute of Food Science&Tech, Ausveg, Wyndham City Council and City of Monash and many local companies.
After the opening remark and introduction of the guests by Michael Guo, several representatives from China and Australia took turns giving speeches on investment and trade, sustainable agriculture, organic food, ecological farming, agriculture products processing and agriculture products processing.
Tim Carroll, Victoria state director of Austrade, shared information of trade and investment opportunities in Victoria and Australia as well.
Li Yunjuan, Department of Commerce introduced the trade and investment environment in Hainan, followed by an introduction of Hainan companies by Guan Haibao, secretary general of Hainan Provincial Green Agriculture Products Exporting Association.
Brad Jenkins, general manager of Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, promoted Australasia China Cities Summits&Business Forum China As Guest Nation at Royal Melbourne Show and called on Hainan delegation to participate in 2018.
Jessica Purbrick-Herbst, Head of Engagement & communication of Victoria Farmers’ Federation and
Yangzhining, Manager for International Investment of Invest Victoria also delivered speeches.
Intention of Cooperation Signed among AITA, RASV and GAPEA regarding Australasia China Cities Summits&Business Forum China As Guest Nation at Royal Melbourne Show
AITA also announced Australasia China Cities Summits&Business Forum China As Guest Nation at Royal Melbourne Show(ACCS&ACBF--CGN) , which is to be held at Melbourne Town and Melbourne Showgrounds from the 25th September 2017.  ACCS/ACBF has been a  success since 2009; it has already been developed and recognized as the leading summit and forum which provide a dynamic and interactive platform for participants in governments at all levels, business corporations and industry associations from Australasia and China to promote multilateral communication, exchange knowledge and views, identify a common agenda, develop shared solutions, set up friendship or sister cities, identify opportunities in trade, investment, education, culture, technology, and establish networks.
In order to make the most of this grand annual event and reap the benefits for both Chinese and Australian associations and companies, AITA, RASV and GAPEA signed an Intention of Cooperation on establishing a Hainan Pavilion at 2018 ACCS&ACBF--CGN.
After the signing ceremony, Hainan Provincial Green Agricultural Products Exporting Association appointed Michael Guo as their Honorary President, to recognize his contribution on strengthening the relationship and friendship between two sides.
Market and Vineyard visiting-Queen Victoria Market & St Anne’s Winery
The delegation visited St Anne’s Winery  for an exchange on wine making process and discussion on trade and investment opportunities, followed by a visit to the biggest retail market in Australia, the Queen Victoria Market (QVM) to learn about the history and layout of QVM as well as how the retail market in conjunction of tourism operates.
