Delegation of Sichuan Radio and TV Broadcasting Station

    Sichuan Radio and TV Broadcasting Station will lead a delegation to attend ACSCS & ACBS Summit 2010. The delegates include executives and professionals of Radio and TV Broadcasting from Sichuan. The purpose of this delegation is to meet and exchange ideas with their counterparts from Australia, New Zealand and other countries          and to seek cooperation opportunities for promoting Sichuan TV Festival.

    Sichuan Radio and TV Broadcasting Station has become one of the leading broadcasting stations in China after over 50 year’s development, which has 8 TV Channels and these Channels have produced news and programs on local activities. Sichuan Radio and TV Broadcasting Station have produced over 100 programs and broadcast for 24 hours. Most of programs have fully covered events in Sichuan and other neighboring provinces even across China. A lot of programs have attracted audience successfully.

    Up to now, one of these Channels, Sichuan Satellite TV has been trying to present diverse programs, which attract 636 million viewers worldwide, making it the third most-watched provincial Satellite TV Channe in 2006l. Advertising revenue of Sichuan Satellite TV has gone beyond 35% in 2007.

   Sichuan Radio and TV Broadcasting Station host annual TV festival, which is co-sponsored by the National Broadcasting TV & Film Bureau and the People's Government of Sichuan, and organized by the Broadcasting TV & Film Bureau of Sichuan. In April 1990, the former National Broadcasting TV & Film Department decided to conduct Shanghai TV Festival and Sichuan TV Festival, both held biennially, for the purpose of making them the windows of China's broadcasting and TV system.
